About the Job \n
\nThe Registered Nurse: \n
\n• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care\n
\n• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team\n
\n• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs\n
\n• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities\n
\n
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.65) opportunity. \n
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours. \n

About this Location \n
\nArrow Lakes Hospital is a small rural hospital located in Nakusp serving a population of about 5,000. Services provided by Arrow Lakes Hospital include Acute Care 24/7, ER, Mental Health and Addictions Services, Occupational Therapy, Home Care, Residential Care, Physiotherapy Infusion Clinic with visiting specialists. Arrow Lakes Hospital is a well-equipped, well maintained hospital with 6 acute care beds and a 5 bed ED offering services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hospital is generously supported by the Arrow Lakes Hospital Foundation and the Arrow Lakes Hospital Auxiliary. The inpatient acuity is relatively low, as is the acuity for most of our emergency visits. However, we get about 20% of our ER patients from trauma (heli-skiing, logging, MVAs) or medical emergencies (cardiac, neuro, vascular) requiring transport to higher level care. There is a new helipad on site, supported by Critical Care Transport system.\n
