Senior Full Stack Developer (Contract) – Alberta, Canada | $90–$120/hr Hiring

• Contraction Duration: June 15, 2026 – June 14, 2027 (Up to two additional 1-year extensions (through 2029)
• Compensation : $90 – $120 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
• Work Model: Onboarding will be onsite, otherwise remote or hybrid

Stafingo is recruiting on behalf of its client in Alberta for a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to support a major multi-year digital transformation and modernization program in the public sector housing and social services domain.

This role sits within a Digital Business Solutions team responsible for enhancing and evolving a Microsoft Dynamics 365–based ecosystem and delivering modern, secure, and scalable digital services, including a partner-facing web portal and integrated cloud services on Microsoft Azure.

The successful candidate will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle from architecture and design through to development, deployment, integration, and production support—working within a highly collaborative Agile environment.

Role Summary

This position focuses on building and maintaining enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications that support external partners, internal stakeholders, and operational teams across Alberta’s social housing ecosystem.

You will be responsible for delivering

• Modern web-based digital services (React + TypeScript)
• Secure backend services and APIs (.NET Core)
• Cloud-native Azure solutions (PaaS + serverless)
• Enterprise system integrations (including Dynamics 365 CRM)
• CI/CD automation and DevOps enablement
• Production support and continuous improvement of live systems

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical depth, architectural thinking, and experience working in large-scale enterprise modernization programs .

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications supporting enterprise digital services and external-facing portals
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Develop robust backend services using .NET Core / .NET Framework
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, system architecture, and production-ready code
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices for maintainability and scalability

Azure Cloud Development & Architecture

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services , including:
• Azure Functions (serverless/event-driven processing)
• Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table)
• Azure SQL Database
• Cosmos DB (NoSQL distributed data modeling)
• Build event-driven and asynchronous architectures to support scalable business workflows
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Support environment configuration across DEV / TEST / PROD landscapes

APIs & System Integration

• Design and implement RESTful APIs for internal and external system communication
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
• Enterprise backend systems
• External partner platforms
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, Azure AD, role-based access control)
• Support data synchronization, messaging, and integration patterns across distributed systems

DevOps, CI/CD & Automation

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Manage source control using Git (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews)
• Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines across environments
• Integrate automated testing frameworks into deployment pipelines
• Promote DevOps best practices across development teams

Testing, Quality & Production Support

• Unit testing
• Integration testing
• End-to-end testing
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production issues in live environments
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of applications and services
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and stability of deployed systems
• Support monitoring, logging, and incident response activities

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Sprint planning
• Daily stand-ups
• Sprint reviews and retrospectives

• Implement secure coding practices including authentication, authorization, and data protection

• Build solutions with scalability, accessibility, and performance in mind
• Support secure handling of sensitive data across integrated systems

Continuous Improvement & Modernization

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, architecture, and user experience
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud-native architecture
• Support ongoing enhancement of digital services and enterprise integration landscape
• Recommend improvements in engineering practices, tooling, and system design

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer in enterprise environments
• .NET Core / .NET Framework
• React.js and TypeScript
• Microsoft Azure (Functions, Storage, SQL, Cosmos DB)
• RESTful APIs
• Enterprise system integrations
• CRM or case management integrations (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git-based workflows
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments delivering production-grade applications
• Strong production support experience, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Understanding of secure software development practices (authentication, authorization, access control)

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Azure Developer Associate certification
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification or equivalent experience
• Experience in government, public sector, or large-scale enterprise transformation programs
• Experience with event-driven architecture (messaging queues, pub/sub systems)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, xUnit, Selenium, etc.)
• Exposure to UX/UI collaboration and building user-centred digital portals
• Experience working on partner portals or external-facing service platforms
