The Role
You will own estimating.
This is not a layered department. You are the estimating function.
You will price work from $250K to $5M+ across civil, earthworks, and ground improvement scopes.
You will track opportunities, build bids, and help shape how the company grows.
What You’ll Do
Run full-cycle estimates: takeoffs, pricing, submissions
- Review drawings, specs, and scopes with a critical eye
- Build accurate quantities and cost models
- Analyze risk, sequencing, and constructability
- Work directly with ownership on bid strategy
- Coordinate suppliers, subs, and pricing inputs
- Manage multiple tenders at once
- Track and pursue opportunities (BuildConnect, etc.)
What They’re Looking For
- 3–8+ years in civil, earthworks, or underground utilities
- Strong takeoff and quantity experience
- Comfortable working independently — no handholding
- Solid with drawings, specs, and bid documents
- Experience with Bluebeam, Agtek, Timberline, or similar
- Detail-oriented, organized, accountable
