RAI and Education Coordinator

Job Responsibility:

The RAI and Education Coordinator is a critical position at Arrowsmith Lodge, focusing on supporting accreditation efforts and will support and guide the interdisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with the successful implementation of interRAI objectives. Coordinating and tracking an education schedule will also be a core responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation:

• Lead and oversee the RAI processes in alignment with expected guidelines and organizational policies.
• Coordinate and complete resident assessments, providing guidance and leadership to staff throughout the RAI-MDS process.
• Deliver education and training to RAI users through group sessions and one-on-one coaching to promote best practices.
• Monitor assessment data for accuracy and consistency, and implement quality improvement strategies as needed.
• Analyze assessment outcomes and quality indicators, preparing reports and insights for the management team.
• Foster compassionate and professional relationships with elders and their families, supporting a positive home environment.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration among staff, offering support and demonstrating reliability in daily operations.
• Coordinate and be a lead for Accreditation.
• Plan a yearly education schedule, tracking attendance and needs.
• Develop and coordinate an education plan based on research and best practices to meet clinical learning needs.
• Coordinates admissions, in-house transfers, and discharges in consultation with inter-disciplinary team members and/or outside agencies and institutions to ensure timely admissions.

Requirements

• Current registration with BCCNM as a practicing LPN, RN or RPN.
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Familiarity with accreditation processes and healthcare facility standards.
• Strong understanding of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Minimum Data Set (MDS).
• Proven skills in project management and change leadership.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other digital tools.

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits

• 7.5-hour shift
• Day shift
• Part Time - 3 days per week
• Weekends off
• Hourly Rate: LPN $42-45/Hr RN $56-59/hour
