Divisional Director

The Divisional Director - Earthmoving Technology provides strategic and operational leadership for all sales, service, parts, and remanufacturing functions within the EMT division. The role drives customer development, strategic sales and marketing initiatives, forecasting, asset management, liquidity, and profit and loss performance. Working collaboratively across divisions, the Divisional Director champions the Liebherr-Canada Ltd. business culture while maximizing profitability across Canada. Reporting to the Managing Director, Sales and Customer Service, the role translates EMT objectives into actionable strategies for the Canadian market and aligns divisional priorities with the broader goals of Liebherr-Canada Ltd.

Responsibilities

Strategic and Operational Leadership

• Lead the strategic and operational management of sales, service, parts, and remanufacturing functions within the EMT division.
• Translate divisional objectives into measurable strategies, operational plans, and performance targets for the Canadian market.
• Lead forecasting, asset management, liquidity, and profit and loss management for the division.
• Use data and business intelligence to evaluate performance, adjust strategy, and drive continuous improvement.

Sales, Marketing and Market Development

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies with clear revenue growth and market share objectives.
• Identify opportunities to diversify beyond traditional market strongholds and develop entry strategies for new markets and key accounts.
• Strengthen customer relationships and use CRM tools to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Build and leverage relationships with customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Liebherr factory contacts

Performance and Resource Management

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for customer service, quality, safety, reliability, and profitability.
• Develop resource plans and timelines that identify future workforce and competency requirements.
• Apply analytical insights to support resource allocation, operational improvements, and informed decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate across divisions and shared services to advance divisional and company objectives.
• Implement structured communication plans with regular updates, feedback mechanisms, and team engagement strategies.
• Influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders to advocate for divisional priorities and requirements.

Leadership, Culture and Talent Development

• Coach, develop, and motivate a high-performing team while fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
• Establish measures to evaluate employee development initiatives, including training completion and employee feedback.
• Integrate Liebherr core values into daily operations and decision making.
• Lead change initiatives using disciplined continuous improvement approaches, including Agile or Lean methodologies where appropriate.

Competencies

• College diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, or post-secondary technical training.
• Equivalent education and relevant industry experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of relevant executive or senior leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership of sales, service, parts, and operational functions.
• Experience managing profit and loss, forecasting, assets, and liquidity.
• Extensive knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and the competitive land-scape.
• Proven success developing customers, markets, key accounts, and stakeholder networks.
• Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives in a complex organiza-tion.
• Experience coaching and developing diverse, inclusive, and high-performing teams.
