We are seeking experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisors to support a major turnaround project in Alberta. This role is critical to ensuring safe execution of turnaround activities, with a strong focus on high-risk work scopes and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site HSE support during turnaround operations
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Conduct field-level risk assessments and hazard identification
- Support safe execution of high-risk activities, including:
- Confined space entry
- Energy isolation procedures
- Verify proper application of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes
- Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset among the workforce
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of safety activities and incidents
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory: Previous Turnaround (TA) experience
Strong knowledge of:
- Confined space procedures
- Energy isolation practices
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) systems
- Demonstrated experience working in high-risk industrial environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night) in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Additional Information
- This is a project-based role supporting a critical turnaround
- Candidates must be comfortable working extended hours and in varying site conditions
