UQTR Tier 1 Chair in Functional Materials Research
Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières
Take the lead on electrochemical technologies at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières as a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair. Focus on eco-materials and their energy applications.
In this position, you will spearhead innovative research in advanced materials and their role in energy transformation. The role entails studying material aging and incorporating AI for system development. You will engage in teaching and supervision, collaborating with local institutes to drive impactful research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct a cutting-edge independent research program in materials science
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in their studies
• Collaborate within the Joint Research Unit, including several research partners
• Foster relationships with industry and technology transfer centers
• Analyze environmental impacts of materials and develop solutions for climates
Requirements:
• Eligible for full professor title in one or two years
• Doctoral degree in a related discipline required
• French language skills desired or willingness to develop them
• Previous teaching experience valued
