Financial Accounting And Operations Manager (Coquitlam)

Delbridge is seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Accounting & Operations Manager to own the full accounting cycle across multiple lines of business and overseas branches. This role is responsible for monthly consolidated financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, and the day‑to‑day financial operations that keep the business running. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple entities, meeting tight close deadlines, and working independently across the full accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and supporting schedules) for multiple lines of business
  • Prepare consolidated financial reporting across domestic and overseas branches
  • Manage, supervise, and mentor a team of accounting clerks and coordinators
  • Prepare management and profitability reporting by business line/segment to support decision-making
  • Execute month‑end and year‑end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis
  • Maintain full‑cycle accounting and the general ledger across multiple entities
  • Record and review journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure accurate account coding and classification
  • Perform monthly bank, client, GL reconciliations
  • Oversee client invoicing and ensure billing accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and client repayments
  • Manage AR/AP/Expense management, process full‑cycle payroll
  • Preparation of year‑end working papers and liaison with external auditors and accountants, assist with corporate income tax reporting and filings
  • Prepare and remit HST and Employer Health Tax (EHT)

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience, ideally in a multi‑entity environment
  • Experience with consolidated and multi‑currency reporting an asset
  • Working knowledge of Canadian tax requirements (corporate tax, HST, EHT)
  • Hands‑on payroll processing experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks) and robust Excel skills
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines independently
