BET99 is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Sports Trader to join our remote team in Canada. This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven background in sports trading and risk management, coupled with a forward-thinking approach to emerging betting markets.

In addition to overseeing traditional pre-game and in-play trading operations, the successful candidate will play a strategic role in the development and management of novelty and non-traditional betting markets — including political, entertainment, and cultural events. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing segment of the business that demands both creativity and sound risk assessment.

The ideal candidate will bring an excellent understanding of the sports betting industry, deep familiarity with North American and Canadian sports, and the ability to work cross-functionally across trading, product, compliance, and marketing teams.

The role is fully remote; however, you will be required to work in the Canadian/US time zone with priority in the North American sports landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring betting markets and analysing betting patterns and behaviour to ensure accurate pricing and risk management in real time (pre-game & in-play).


• Managing and maintaining our Sportsbook product and content — ensuring timely, competitive, and engaging betting content for our players.


• Leading the strategy and expansion of novelty markets (think politics, pop culture, entertainment, and other non-traditional segments).


• Identifying new market opportunities, driving revenue, and ensuring compliance within these emerging verticals.


• Contributing to the planning, evaluation, and rollout of new betting features and products.


• Playing an active role in the evaluation and assessment process for new products and product enhancements.

• Acting as the go-to support for our customer-facing teams for all Sportsbook-related queries


• Collaborating with Marketing and Promotions to build and launch exciting Specials and Promos.


• Escalating real time issues to the relevant stakeholder, business partners and teams to mitigate possible exposure, including compliance and integrity concerns

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working within a well-established Sportsbook, ideally in a sports trading or risk management role.


• Thorough understanding of the sports betting industry, including key products, market functionality, and platform features across the sector.


• Strong sports knowledge, especially of North American and Canadian sports, with a clear grasp of seasonal calendars and major events.


• Proven experience or strong interest in novelty betting markets — from politics and entertainment to cultural and special events — with the creativity to help shape and grow this niche segment.


• Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, enabling fast, data-driven decision-making in high-pressure environments.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas and collaborate across departments.


• Flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a proactive attitude and a passion for working in a dynamic, evolving industry.


• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to support live trading and special event coverage.
