La fonction principale d'un auditeur(e) de nuit est de vérifier les transactions commerciales effectuées au cours de la journée afin de balancer les comptes et les dépôts et de fermer les caisses, tout en assurant les fonctions de la réception durant la nuit. Il assume le rôle de réceptionniste en accueillant les clients afin que ces derniers puissent jouir de la meilleure expérience hôtelière.
Vérifier et corriger l'enregistrement des transactions et mettre à jour les notes des clients de l'hôtel, classer les transactions commerciales effectuées au cours de la journée, balancer les comptes et fermer les caisses des difFérents points de vente et de la réception, produire le rapport journalier de revenues, répondre au téléphone et acheminer les appels, effectuer la prise de réservations, traiter les plaintes des clients, assurer les tâches de préposé(e) à la réception durant la nuit, autres tâches administratives et/ou comptables.
