The platform helps scrap yards stay compliant through automated tracking, view inventory in real time, and streamline operations while receiving competitive offers. Buyers gain daily access to new opportunities, verified scrap yards, and the materials they need, enabling them to expand their networks across North America. Built by industry professionals with over nine years of hands‑on experience, SMASH is designed to be easy to implement and highly effective. The platform is transforming B2B scrap metal trading by offering a frictionless, digital way to manage transactions and relationships. Role Description

This is a full‑time, hybrid Salesperson role based in Winnipeg, MB, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. The Salesperson will identify and qualify prospective scrap yards and buyers, conduct outreach via phone, email, and in‑person meetings, and present SMASH’s platform and services to potential clients. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, scheduling and leading product demos, following up on leads, negotiating terms within established guidelines, and closing new accounts. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in the CRM, collaborating with operations and customer support to ensure smooth onboarding, and gathering market feedback to help refine sales strategies. The Salesperson will be expected to meet or exceed sales targets while building long‑term, trust‑based relationships across the scrap metal and recycling industry. Qualifications

Strong B2B sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and closing deals. Experience in account management, relationship building, and customer retention in industrial, logistics, or recycling sectors. Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain digital platforms and value propositions clearly. Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, online marketplaces, and standard office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations). Ability to work independently, manage time well, and adapt to a hybrid work environment (office and remote). Knowledge of scrap metal, recycling, or related B2B trading environments is an asset but not required. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client visits and industry events as needed. Post‑secondary education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent experience is also valued.
