Position: Manager of Cyber Security
Location: Toronto, Ontario – Onsite five days per week
Structure: Full-time, permanent
Compensation: $150,000–$170,000 base salary, plus a 10% bonus and three weeks of vacation
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Cyber Security to help lead our client’s cybersecurity program. Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security, this hands-on leadership role will oversee security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, governance, risk and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute cybersecurity strategies, roadmaps and improvement initiatives.
Manage security operations, incident response and vulnerability remediation.
Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST and CIS compliance programs.
Develop security metrics, dashboards and executive reporting.
Provide security guidance across infrastructure, applications and cloud services.
Lead and coach cybersecurity team members.
Support vendor security, DevSecOps, AI governance and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
12+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
Experience leading technical teams and cybersecurity programs.
Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, vulnerability management and cloud security.
Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
Experience with SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF or CIS Controls.
CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, Security+ or a comparable certification.
Strong leadership, communication and executive-presentation skills.
Valid passport, eligibility to enter the U.S. and reliable personal transportation.
