Senior Java Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to design build and maintain both front-end interfaces and back-end systems including APIs microservices databases and cloud deployments. You will develop scalable secure and high-performing enterprise applications using Java Spring Boot React Python and SQL.

This role suits a strong hands-on engineer who is equally comfortable on the front end and the back end and who can take part in solution design as well as delivery. You will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions working closely with product architecture QA DevOps and business stakeholders to deliver modern digital solutions that are reliable maintainable and aligned with enterprise standards.

Working Model: This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in a downtown Toronto office.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop test deploy and support full stack applications across front-end and back-end environments.
• Build responsive accessible and user-friendly interfaces using React and modern web development practices.
• Develop and maintain back-end services APIs and business logic using Java Spring Boot and Python.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures for scalable modular applications.
• Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Design optimize and manage relational databases and SQL queries.
• Contribute to cloud-native deployment and operational support on AWS Azure or GCP.
• Support CI/CD pipelines release processes and deployment automation.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews automated testing and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack including UI APIs services databases and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business and architecture requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications integrations and support processes and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and design patterns.

Qualifications :

• 7 years of experience in software development including significant full stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Proven experience building scalable web applications with React.
• Familiarity with and Python on the back end.
• Strong experience designing and building APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL relational databases schema design and query optimization.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Git CI/CD pipelines automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of application security authentication authorization and secure coding principles.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have:

• Experience with TypeScript and modern front-end architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with Docker Kubernetes and containerized deployment models.
• Experience with event-driven architecture messaging systems or asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of API gateways observability logging and monitoring tools.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale environments with high availability and security requirements.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Background in banking financial services or another regulated industry.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership.
