JOB SUMMARY:

Performs physically demanding manual work in maintaining a clean and safe health care environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); applicants who do not have Grade 12 or the equivalent may be considered under certain conditions;
• Ability to work independently and as a team member;
• Physical ability to do assigned work (such as standing for long periods of time, lifting loads of approximately 25 lbs, repetitive movements, carrying, pulling or pushing carts, exposure to blood, stool or vomiting, working with biomedical chemicals or waste, climbing on stepladders, kneeling.);
• Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organization values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitality Health Network.
