Job Description
CEDA is looking for Mechanics for our shop location in Dawson Creek, B.C. This position will provide mechanical maintenance services on a diverse range of mobile equipment in a safe and timely manner. Based in the Dawson Creek shop with deployment to various worksites, this position will report to the Operations Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- General maintenance and repair on Truck and Trailers, Tanker and Vacuum Trucks in an efficient and timely manner
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment, provide diagnostic and replace or repair defective parts
- Supports safety and continuous improvement programs
- Interpret work orders
- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications
- 5+ years of experience working in an industrial environment
- Valid Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years required
- Class 1 or 3 license would be an asset
- General familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems is an asset
- Fitting skills and a CVIP license would be an asset
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Skills:
- You’re meticulous – you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs
- Good communication skills, enjoy doing precision work, and solving problems
