CPRA Rodeo/Office Administrator

This role is responsible for the management and administration of the Central Rodeo Entry System (CRES), oversight of the approvals process, and serves as final authority on Rodeo Draws. The position leads critical initiatives including Animal Care, Youth Development, and Committee support, while ensuring committees are well-resourced and effectively guided. This role also has a leadership role in CPRA operational coordination — including contestant logistics, stock contractor management, and some production planning — and works closely with the Rodeo Consultant on rules and ground rules processes. This role is the catch-all to many administrative duties surrounding our rodeo season. The Rodeo Administrator works in close collaboration with the CEO and serves as the second-in-command within the organization in the absence of the CEO and Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and support the CRES system (training on the CRES system, make decisions when disputes arise, answers questions that go over the CRES Lead).

· Lead Animal Care, ensuring the animal care numbers are tracked weekly, watch for trends, note concerns, and lead the animal care committee (talking to industry people and experts to guide animal care initiatives).

· Lead youth development programs (work with experts to implement).

· Find resources for Committees - ensure we are constantly supplying resources for our committees (scripting, checklists, etc.).

· Final authority on Draws when needed.

· Review all approvals for accuracy, concerns and conflicting times, bring concerns forward and send them to the approval committee (or Board).

· Ensure approval process is complete with the PRCA/WPRA and monitor any concerns with approvals.

· Manage entry dates and calendar with help from CRES.

· Onboard new committees.

· Point of communication for contractors on CFR, Stock of the year, etc.

· Ensure stock lists are received on time and complete (with aid of CRES).

· Obtain stock information as needed.

· Work with the Rodeo Consultant to lead MLC ground rules. attend and oversee (could be the “rodeo position” but their contract would be done before the event

· Lead CPRA staff in coordination of Contestants, info, reps, stock, etc.

· Work with the Rodeo Consultant to inform on rules as they pertain to CRES (with consultation from reps, “rodeo position”, CEO, etc.).

· Help Committee reps prepare and organize Committee convention.

· Participate in CPRA production planning.

· Help oversee day-to-day operations.

· Manage Benevolent fund applications.

· Assist with marketing and merchandise (e.g., CFR jackets).

· Partnerships (though this could still be an outside contractor as we have discussed).

· Assist with Broadcast logistics.

· Other administrative duties as required.
