IT Helpdesk Intern (8-month Co-op)

An 8-month IT helpdesk co-op position in Vancouver supporting a biotechnology company's information technology operations. The role involves providing technical support to employees, managing user accounts and hardware, configuring computers, and troubleshooting system issues.
Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming IT support requests via multiple channels and ticketing system
- Configure computers with operating systems, software, and user profiles for new and existing employees
- Manage user accounts, software subscriptions, and hardware across office locations
- Troubleshoot hardware and software failures, escalating issues to senior IT staff as needed
- Maintain IT inventory lists and manage printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
Requirements
- 2+ years post-secondary education in network, IT, or computer science
- Experience troubleshooting Windows and/or MacOS operating systems
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and measures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated problem solver with initiative
- Excellent documentation, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Reliable, accountable, and team-oriented work approach
Compensation: CAD $3,300–$4,300 per month
