Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Edmonton, AB)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support Project Managers in the execution of commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to grow into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project coordination, documentation, and administrative tasks
- Support the preparation and tracking of RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Help manage project schedules and monitor progress against milestones
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Assist in cost tracking, reporting, and budget updates
- Participate in site visits and support field teams as required
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation
- Support procurement processes and subcontractor coordination
Qualifications
- 1–4 years of experience in construction project coordination or engineering roles
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software is an asset
