In this newly created role, you will develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy aligned with the Foundation’s brand and organizational goals. As a strategic communications expert, you’ll identify media opportunities, manage reputation, and prepare leaders for public engagements. Your creative approach will contribute to both fundraising initiatives and the ongoing campaign to elevate the VGH+ brand.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a public relations strategy supporting key campaigns • Build strong relationships with media outlets across Canada • Prepare executives for media interactions and public appearances • Evaluate PR performance and leverage insights for future initiatives • Collaborate with internal teams to uncover impactful stories

Requirements: • 8-10 years in public relations or strategic communications • Proven success in media relations and earned media coverage • Experience with crisis communications and stakeholder management • Strong judgment in navigating sensitive issues • Confidence in building PR functions from the ground up
