Remote Image Data Reviewer

Kuva Canada, a subsidiary of Sensirion Connected Solutions, is looking for an individual to join the image quality review team where you will be tasked with reviewing data collected from dozens of continuously operated Kuva gas cloud imaging cameras in a systematic, timely and reliable manner for false detection mitigation and labeling of methane gas in the images. We are looking for an individual that can join a small but growing team to review large quantities of image data towards the goal of improving our detection and AI algorithms. Your work tool will be a modern cloud based image reviewer solution, provided and continuously improved by the Kuva software and R&D teams.

Our Ideal Candidate:

If you have attention to detail, an ability to focus over long periods of time, and an interest in reducing global methane emissions, then this is the position for you. The position will primarily be remote (preference for Calgary, Alberta, Canada) with the option of working at one of our office locations. This is a part time position (up to 30 hrs/week). We strongly value hard work, focus, and attention to detail. We foster a collaborative environment, but also seek responsible candidates able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and label image data and metadata for false alerts and contextual information (hourly)


• Provide feedback to software developers to improve the data reviewer user experience


• Communicate the nature of your observations to software developers and engineers


• Identify and address shortcomings in resources and functionality in order to improve the data review quality and process

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Capable of working independently


• Strong attention to detail, particularly with respect to visual data/images


• Experience with photography and image editing is considered an asset


• Comfortable working from home with occasional video conference meetings


• Familiarity with oil and gas production processes is considered an asset


• Logical thinker with good communication skills


• 3+ years of work experience in data entry, document imaging, records management or similar function is preferred


• Minimum Technical Diploma or higher is preferred
