Clutch Team Lead for Software Engineers

Clutch is hiring a Team Lead for Software Engineers in Toronto to meld leadership with engineering tasks. This role is pivotal in shaping our platform through effective team management and coding expertise. As a Team Lead, you will mentor 3-5 engineers while being actively involved in development work split evenly between leadership and hands-on coding. Your role involves transforming business requirements into technical roadmaps and ensuring smooth project execution alongside Product and Design teams. Support your team's growth and success through regular coaching and performance management. Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and develop a team of engineers for optimal delivery
- Maintain hands-on contribution to technical design and code
- Collaborate on translating business needs into engineering plans
- Remove obstacles to ensure effective workflow
- Mentor engineers through continuous feedback and discussions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 7+ years in software engineering; 1-2 years managing teams
- Proficient in modern coding languages and frameworks
- Experience with AWS and microservices architecture
- Strong skills in PostgreSQL database management
