Automotive Service Manager

Bruce GM is seeking an experienced   Service Manager to lead our Service Departments. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, with a focus on maximizing efficiency, profitability, and productivity while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will provide leadership and support to the service teams, ensuring a high standard of professionalism, workmanship, and customer care that builds lasting relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and motivate the Service Department teams in Middleton and Digby 
• Oversee daily operations of the Service Department
• Ensure exceptional customer service and positive ownership satisfaction
• Ensure that repairs are completed accurately, efficiently and according to manufacturer standards
• Ensure compliance with GM policies, dealership procedures, and safety regulations
• Monitor warranty and internal repair processes
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of department employees
• Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Assist in the planning of departmental goals and targets.
• Ensure training for all employees and encourage technicians to keep their skills up to date through periodic technical training offered by manufacturers.
• Monitor employee performance, set goals and objectives, and support their growth.
• Effectively handle and implement change when needed.
• In cooperation with the dealership’s management team, must review the previous month’s sales/profit performance to determine where improvements can be made.
• Work with the Parts Department to maintain an efficient fixed operation. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of Automotive Service Management experience
• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License & clean Driver's Abstract
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair 
• Under standing of service department financials, KPI, and profitability
• Advanced computer skills; PBS experience is considered an asset 
• Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrate ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
• Clear Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas, information, and instructions clearly and concisely
• Organizing & Planning: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks, projects, and resources effectively.
• Customer Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  
• Effective Delegating & Empowering: Proven experience in assigning t asks, empowering team members, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
