Our client is a leading Canadian-owned distributor of plumbing and HVAC products, known for an extensive branch network, a diverse product portfolio, and a reputation for exceptional service.
Behind the scenes, their Mississauga distribution centre is the engine that keeps it all moving - supplying customers and branches with the speed and accuracy that reputation is built on.
As Distribution Centre Manager, you'll own the full flow of materials from receiving through to customer delivery, leading a team of supervisors, warehouse associates, and drivers. You'll set the standard for service, safety, and quality.
The Job
- Lead and develop a cross-shift team of supervisors, warehouse associates, and drivers - assessing talent, coaching performers, building team strength, and setting clear, KPI-driven expectations
- Manage operations across a 24/7, shift environment, spending time across all shifts to stay connected to the team and the work
- Oversee all inbound, outbound, and inter-branch operations - receiving, picking, loading, transfers, cross-docking, and vendor pick-ups
- Own delivery routing and scheduling to maximize timeliness, accuracy, and profitability
- Drive inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage through cycle counts, data analysis, and process improvement
- Set the bar for quality control - ensuring products reach customers complete and damage-free
- Manage fleet, material handling equipment, and transportation compliance (MTO/CVOR)
- Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results
- Champion health and safety as a key leader on the JHSC, ensuring a safe and compliant facility
- Collaborate across the business — purchasing, sales, branches, and senior leadership — as a visible, trusted point of contact
What You Bring to the Job
- 5+ years managing a mid-to-large, high-volume distribution centre, plus 5+ years of people leadership
- Proven ability to assess, coach, and elevate a team - including succession planning and building accountability
- Experience managing a multi-shift operation (strong asset)
- A quality-first mindset and the judgment to balance daily operations with bigger-picture improvement
- Hands-on expertise in fleet management, transportation compliance (MTO/CVOR), inventory control, and cycle counting
- Working knowledge of WMS/ERP and routing systems (Mincron or PKMS an asset)
- A track record of driving continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) and leading change
- Solid knowledge of Ontario's OHSA and a genuine commitment to workplace safety
- Excellent communication and people skills - you build trust and respect at every level

Salary: $100k base salary + annual bonus potential
