What is GCM?

On a daily basis you will have to:

• Model steel and concrete structures in a 3D environment
• Prepare plan views, elevations, steel sections and details as well as steel and concrete structures.
• Perform surveys and site visits.
• Review shop drawings.
• Coordinate with drafters/designers from other departments on multidisciplinary projects.
• Manage space in 3D models.
• In collaboration with the engineering team, contribute to the development of structural concepts to meet the challenges of each project.
• Coordinate the work with the structural engineers.

Requirements:

• DEP in industrial drafting or DEC in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in the field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience.

You are the one we are looking for if you have:

• Knowledge of at least one 2D software: AutoCAD, Advance Steel and/or Revit (mastering all three would be an asset).
• Knowledge of at least one 3D software: ProSteel, Revit or Advance Steel (mastering all three would be an asset).
• Excellent ability to work in a team and good organizational skills.
• Fluency in French and English required occasionally since the person will collaborate with colleagues and clients outside of Quebec, both written and oral - asset.
• ASP Construction certification - asset.
• Relevant experience in industrial projects petrochemical, industrial and mining - asset.
• Relevant experience in multidisciplinary projects - asset.
• Knowledge of BIM management - asset.
