Shape TTC government partnerships through public policy, negotiation, and advocacy leadership in Toronto’s transit system. This is a regular full-time position.As Director, Intergovernmental Relations, you will develop strategies supporting TTC priorities across municipal, provincial, regional, and federal governments. You will advise senior leadership on policy, legislative, regulatory, governance, and stakeholder matters. The position advances public transit through funding, partnerships, strategic communications, and coordinated advocacy.Key Responsibilities:
Lead government relations strategies across all orders of governmentAdvise executives on policy, legislative, and political developmentsNegotiate funding, governance, partnership, and operational agreementsPrepare briefings, reports, recommendations, and business casesRepresent TTC at intergovernmental and advocacy forumsRequirements:
University degree or equivalent education and experienceSignificant senior experience in government relations or public policyKnowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal decision-makingExperience negotiating government agreements and funding arrangementsExceptional political acumen and executive communication skillsLead TTC advocacy, funding, stakeholder relationships, and public policy strategies as Director, Intergovernmental Relations.
