How You Will Make An Impact
You will be responsible for performing light cleaning duties that maintain the establishment in a clean and orderly manner.
As a Laundry Attendant, You Will
- Collect & Sort Laundry
- Washing Laundry (using existing washers & dryers)
- Folding Laundry by hand
- Putting Laundry away in linen rooms across two camps
- Assist with housekeeping duties when required
- Clean and disinfect areas and items such as washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors
- Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen
- Damp mop hard floors and auto scrub as needed
- Check all primary areas, lobbies, stairwells, elevators/escalators, and mezzanines and clean as required
- Vacuum carpeted areas and complete carpet extraction as needed
- Remove all garbage from resident rooms and common areas
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and personnel information
- Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs)
- Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines
- Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately
- Responding to emergency cleanups as required
About You
- Previous housekeeping/laundry attendant experience, a remote camp, hotel or commercial cleaning, is an asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job, including requirements to lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Requirements
- WHIMIS certified
- Pass Drug & Alcohol Test
- Local Applicants Preferred
- Shift: 12hr/Day
- Seasonal End Date: Oct 31,2026 (Tentatively)
The hourly wage for this position is $19 to $21. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.
