Highway Design Technologist in Ontario

As a key player in transportation planning, you will focus on highway and local road design with Stantec. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering technology and at least five years of relevant experience. Your key responsibilities will include developing design alignments, conducting safety designs, and estimating project costs while ensuring compliance with Ontario’s transportation standards.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop alignments and profiles for highway projects • Design roadside safety and drainage systems • Perform quantity calculations and cost estimates • Prepare contract drawings and documentation • Document project activities and manage data effectively

Requirements: • Diploma in Engineering Technology with a focus on Civil Engineering • Minimum 5 years of experience in roadway design • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Micro Station • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Eligible for registration with engineering technologist association
