The Role :
As the Store Manager Trainee (SMT), you will work alongside the Store Manager and assist with the direct supervision of the management and store team. You will learn to lead, manage, and ensure the maximization of sales growth in your store. You will also assist with the loss prevention processes in the store including participation in prevention strategies and investigations.
You will be enrolled in our Store Manager Trainee training program, it will set you up for success and get you ready to manage your own store within the district.
Other duties include:
- Setting strategies, sales goals, and targets for the store and creating a communication plan to present to teams at GSM’s
- Ensuring store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards
- Promoting and maintaining a safe work environment
- Accountability for store recruitment and building a high-performance team in the store.

What you bring to the role:
- A dynamic and positive personality with strong leadership skills
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where priorities change
- Ability to make complex decisions with integrity that supports company guidelines and makes good business sense
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- 2 years experience in retail management and customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Compensation: Generally, the hiring range for this position is $52,000 to $57,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.

Physical demands that are required include mobility (walking, standing, climbing, bending, etc.) and manual material handling (lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, etc.). Movement of product by use of ladders and stock pickers is required.
