We are looking for a nanny/house manager to care for three children as we transition to having both parents working outside the home. The children are: a three-year-old, a six-year-old, and a thirteen-year-old. The care is primarily required for the two younger children. Our family also has an older cat and a large dog; only light animal care is required but it is important that the successful candidate is comfortable with animals in the home. The successful candidate must have an active Alberta driver's license and be prepared to do daily pick ups at preschool and regular transportation to activities for the older children. Vehicle to be provided and appropriate use of car seats expected at all times. This position is temporary, from mid-July to the end of August 2026. The role involves not only childcare but also light housekeeping, some transportation of children using provided vehicle, and meal preparation. (More details are below.) Hours are as follows: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Schedule, hours and duties: o Daily care of three-year-old and six-year-old o Regular driving of children to activities or play dates o Regular meal and snack preparation o Light supervision of piano practice and chores o Light housekeeping o Occasional running of errands Overview of duties:

• Daily care of and interaction with children, including meal preparation, assistance with toileting (when needed), indoor and outdoor play
• Light cleaning including tidying and wiping down of kitchen and tidying and vacuuming living room and other common areas
• Dinner preparation ~3 days/week
• Take children to classes, outings, and play dates
• Occasional errands (e.g., picking up groceries)
• Light animal care (e.g., ensuring water dish is filled)

The ideal candidate will understand well child development, have experience caring for multiple young children, be creative with child-oriented activities, and be flexible and adaptable to children's needs. Experience with light housekeeping and meal prep is also required. The candidate must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual, must have a driver’s license, and must pass a criminal record check. Relevant experience and references are also required. Our children attend French immersion school so ability to speak French is an asset but not required.
