Become a vital part of Technology Services as a Windows Server Engineer in Vancouver for a 6+ months contract. Focus on migration, modernization, and operational improvements across on-premises and Azure IaaS environments.

In this hands-on engineering role, you will lead efforts in server upgrades, replatforming, and migration from legacy Windows environments to supported operating systems. Collaborating with TS Leadership, your skills in security hardening, monitoring, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management are key to enhancing operational performance and ensuring platform readiness.

Key Responsibilities: • Assess current Windows Server environments for upgrades and migrations • Develop upgrade and migration paths for outdated Microsoft systems • Maintain server inventories, dependency maps, and cutover plans • Execute Windows Server build, configuration, and validation • Support Azure IaaS migration activities, including readiness assessments

Requirements: • Experience with Windows Server upgrades and migrations • Proficiency in Azure IaaS and operational support processes • Strong knowledge in security best practices and hardening • Ability to create detailed documentation and technical runbooks • Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents required for security clearance
