An examination of core topics in cognitive science building on introductions in  COG250Y1 . Typical topics include: language and cognition; language acquisition; theories of meaning; pragmatics.

Minimum qualifications: A Master’s degree in Cognitive Science or a related field (e.g., Linguistics, Psychology, Philosophy, Computer Science) is required.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. preferred; experience teaching in a university environment preferred. Demonstrated teaching and research expertise on topics relating to Cognitive Science as listed in the course description (e.g. language and cognition; language acquisition; theories of meaning; pragmatics) is preferred.

Description of Duties: Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. Supervising the TA (if applicable), preparing and supervising tests and exams.
