Join Transitional Support Services as a Transitional Support Worker dedicated to trauma-informed care for children and youth. This role focuses on building supportive environments in 24/7 settings. We seek compassionate individuals passionate about creating safe spaces for vulnerable children and youth. The Transitional Support Worker will handle crisis situations with patience and adaptability while addressing complex care needs. Working collaboratively in a Yukon First Nation cultural context is essential, along with a strong understanding of intergenerational trauma and crisis intervention. Key Responsibilities:
• Create supportive environments for vulnerable children and youth
• Implement individualized goals through various care strategies
• Collaborate in team-based settings for effective support
• Remain calm during crises and de-escalate challenging behaviors
• Practice trauma-informed care and conflict resolution skills Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Experience supporting vulnerable clients
• Knowledge of intergenerational trauma
• Valid driver's license and First Aid certification
