Are you a compassionate and talented hairdresser looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors? We are seeking a Hairdresser to provide professional hair care services to residents within our Long-Term Care and Retirement Living community.

Position Summary

The Hairdresser is responsible for providing a variety of hair care services in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner while creating a positive and enjoyable experience for residents.

Schedule

• 2 days per week
• Regular hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Additional hours may be available as needed to support resident demand 

Responsibilities

• Provide hair cutting, styling, shampooing, and other salon services to residents
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming salon environment
• Schedule and manage resident appointments
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
• Follow infection prevention and control practices and workplace safety standards
• Maintain professional salon equipment and supplies

Qualifications

• Current Hairstylist license/certification in good standing
• Previous hairstyling experience required
• Experience working with seniors is considered an asset
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage appointments effectively
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care
