Job Description

The Building Manager will be based in Kuujjuaq on a full-time basis (35 Hrs./week) and will be responsible for the following duties:

·         Over-see and manage the entire daily operations of the Kuujjuaq Forum;

·         Supervise the maintenance, janitorial and security staff at the Arena;

·         Coordinate and schedule the logistics/travel for various specialized technicians needed at the Arena such as refrigeration, ventilation, fire inspection, elevator technician, plumbers and electricians as required.

·         Ensure the mechanical, ventilation and fire protection systems are inspected, tested and maintained regularly;

·         Assist with the coordinating of special events, and the logistics/venue set-up required for each event such as sporting/cultural events, community activities, meetings, conferences, concerts etc:

·         Work closely with administration and recreation departments for event scheduling and follow-up for invoicing;

·         Plan and coordinate small renovation projects as well as regular maintenance/repairs as needed;

·         Supervise and control all keys and access cards provided to the various users of the building.

·         Plan and coordinate the purchasing of supplies and equipment for the annual sea-lift;

·         Other duties as may be required from time to time;
