Job Title: Retail Security Guard (Customer Service Focused, Hands-Off Policy) Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario Job Type: Full-time Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour + Benefits
Schedules Available:
1. Monday - Friday (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM) Hands off / Downtown Toronto
2. Monday to Friday (1:00PM to 9:00PM) Hands on / North York
3. Sat - (1:00pm to 9:00pm) / (Sunday - 1:00pm to 7:00pm) Hands on / North York

The Opportunity
We're seeking a diplomatic, observant Retail Security Guard for a hands-off position at a busy retail location. Your primary tools will be:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Situational awareness
- Conflict resolution expertise
This role is perfect for security professionals who excel at preventing incidents through presence and verbal de-escalation alone.
Key Responsibilities
? Visible Deterrence - Maintain professional presence to discourage theft and disruptive behavior? Verbal De-escalation - Calmly resolve conflicts using communication skills only (strictly hands-off)? Customer Service - Assist shoppers while monitoring for suspicious activity? Incident Documentation - Detailed reporting of all observations and interactions? Trespass Enforcement - Issue warnings and deny entry when necessary (no physical contact)? Loss Prevention - Identify potential theft through observation .
What We're Looking For
? Valid Ontario Security License (Mandatory)? 1+ years retail/security experience (customer service roles considered)? Exceptional communicator - Able to de-escalate situations verbally? Observant & proactive - Stays alert throughout entire shift? Professional demeanor - Represents our client with polish and tact? Reliable & punctual - Committed to scheduled shifts

This is a strictly hands-off position - No physical intervention or arrests Must complete 2-day training (paid) at our North York office Comfortable standing/moving for entire shift
