Now, we’re looking for a Multimedia News Reporter in Moncton, NB who can bring energy, curiosity, and creativity to our audience every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Crafting engaging, hyper-local stories for our community portals
- Writing for radio in a voice that’s conversational, clear, and made for audio
- Pitching and writing daily story ideas that help shape our coverage across every platform
- Chasing leads across town, across platforms, and across timelines — phone, in-person, social media, email… you’ll use it all
- Participating in our rotational weekend on-call schedule (because news doesn’t take days off)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interviewing, writing, and editing skills for both digital and broadcast
- Solid understanding of the CP Style Guide
- A self-starter who thrives under pressure and can meet tight deadlines — including breaking news outside the 9‑to‑5
- A Journalism or Digital Media diploma — or equivalent experience that proves you know your stuff
- Experience with newsroom software (Burli is a bonus!)
- A valid driver’s license (the news won’t always come to you!)
