Staffmax is currently hiring a Mailroom Clerk for one of our renowned clients in London, Ontario . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment. If you have strong communication skills and take pride in delivering accurate, efficient work, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments.
- Perform scheduled mail delivery and pickup throughout the facility.
- Obtain signatures for tracked internal mail deliveries.
- Receive and process incoming courier packages.
- Open and sort unidentified or incorrectly addressed mail to determine the appropriate recipient.
- Prepare outgoing mail and courier shipments, ensuring all required documentation is complete.
- Verify courier request forms are attached to outgoing packages.
- Track mail and courier volumes for reporting purposes.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient mailroom.
- Support additional mailroom and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods throughout the day.
- Previous mailroom, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or administrative experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Reliability Background Clearance.
