Senior Engineer, SCADA - Renewable Energy

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the SCADA portion of renewable energy projects and lead a team in producing engineering deliverables
• Validate engineering deliverables
• Design and implement SCADA architectures and data collection systems
• Manage the project (billing, monthly reports, progress tracking, etc.)
• Oversee or help configure, program and commission SCADA systems specific to the renewable energy sector
• Train and support client technical teams

Qualifications & Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or relevant equivalent
• Available to work up to 25% of the time outside the office
• Over eight years of relevant work experience
• Ability to draft technical documents
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Experience with widely used SCADA technologies, such as Ignition, Kepware, Subnet, SEL RTAC, and SMP
• Knowledge of the OPC UA, DNP3 and Modbus industrial communication protocols
• Asset: knowledge of TCP/IP networks and routing
• Asset: experience with OSIsoft’s PI System historian
