Family Law Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Family Lawyer to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner looking to build and manage their own practice within a supportive, high-performing firm.

About the Role

You will work on a range of complex matters, including high net worth and high-conflict family law cases, while maintaining autonomy over your files. The role involves both developing your own client base and receiving firm-referred clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on legal rights and strategies

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

• Draft pleadings, agreements, and court documents

• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings

• Manage client relationships and files from intake through resolution

• Track billable time and stay current with case law and legislative developments

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of family law experience

• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta

• Strong experience in drafting, legal research, and advocacy

• Proven ability to manage clients and complex files independently

• Experience in mediation and/or arbitration

• Solid understanding of personal and corporate financials

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
