Solid Waste Facility Office Assistant

Job Responsibility:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team at our solid waste facility in Lawrence Station. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of our facilities by assisting with various administrative and clerical tasks.

Duties:

- Weigh scale operation including tracking of scale tickets and monthly reporting duties- Weigh scale data and transaction details for billing and tracking purposes- Scale slip entries into Sage Accounting program- Reconciling transactions to balance with Interac payments- Perform various clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents- Provide administrative support to the office staff as needed- Assist with White Goods collection scheduling and record keeping- Assist with office organization and clerical duties- Support customer service efforts by responding to inquiries and providing assistance- Weighing, tracking, billing, and monthly reporting of recyclable materials- Manage phone systems and direct calls appropriately- Additional duties as required

Requirements:

- Previous experience in an office and administrative role- Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment- Proficiency in computerized systems for data entry and record keeping- Excellent phone etiquette and strong communication skills- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Sage- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Customer service experience
