Medavie Canada is seeking a Legal Counsel to enhance its Legal Services team. This remote or hybrid role requires a Juris Doctor or LL.B. and 4-7 years of legal experience. You will advise on commercial law, regulatory compliance, and contribute to real estate transactions, shaping informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements
• Advise on regulatory compliance and corporate governance
• Support strategic business initiatives and priorities
• Manage legal risks and recommend solutions
• Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
• Member in good standing with a Law Society in Canada
• 4-7 years of legal experience, preferably in-house
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
