Role Description The Powder Coating General Manager/President is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Mississauga, ON, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the powder coating operation. This position manages daily production activities, ensures quality standards are met, and maintains a safe, efficient working environment. The General Manager/President leads and develops the management and production teams, sets performance goals, and monitors key operational and financial metrics. Responsibilities include strategic planning, customer relationship management, cost control, equipment and facility oversight, and implementation of process improvements. The role also involves coordinating with suppliers, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Strong operations and production management capabilities, ideally within powder coating, industrial painting, or related manufacturing environments.
Experience with quality control, safety standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S, or similar practices).
Business and financial acumen, including budgeting, cost analysis, and KPI-driven decision-making.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to plan and execute strategic initiatives, drive process optimization, and support business growth.
Comfort with using basic digital tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, production tracking systems) to manage operations and reporting.
Relevant post-secondary education in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field; equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership will be considered.
Previous experience in an executive or general management role within a small to mid-sized industrial or manufacturing company is an asset.
