People solving hard problems in harsh environments rely on products that work. Turning outstanding ideas into rugged, reliable products isn’t magic; it’s engineering.

Our client has the invention. A patented analytical device that identifies contaminants in water is already in the field with paying customers across industrial, environmental, and resource sectors. Early adopters have validated the science. Now the market is asking for something more polished, and the company needs the engineer who can take it there.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap across hardware, consumable chemistry, and field performance.
• Lead NPI from MVP to distributor‑ready, with a quality system behind.
• Build the feedback loop between field deployments and the engineering team.
• Lead three technical groups, about 15 scientists and engineers.
• Partner with the commercial team so product capability and customer commitments stay in sync.

Qualifications

• Hardware product background, ideally with a precision consumable or chemical measurement component.
• Experience taking a complex product from development to commercial scale in a small company.
• Relevant backgrounds include analytical instrumentation, telecom or down‑hole devices, sensor technology, diagnostics, point‑of‑care devices, water and environmental monitoring, food safety, agriculture, or industrial process monitoring.
