AutoCAD Technician

Firepoint Inc. is hiring an AutoCAD Technician to support commercial fire and life safety projects across Canada. This is a fully remote role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment. You’ll work closely with our internal team to create and revise technical drawings, maintain project documentation, and help keep projects moving efficiently from planning to execution.
**Work Model: 100% Remote (Home Office)**
**Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Toronto)**
**Language Requirement: Intermediate to Advanced English**
**What You’ll Do**
* Create, revise, and organize AutoCAD drawings and technical layouts based on project requirements
* Support internal project teams with drafting updates and documentation
* Maintain accurate project files and ensure drawings meet company standards and deadlines
* Communicate clearly with team members in English throughout the project lifecycle
**What We’re Looking For**
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong technical drafting skills
* Previous experience as an AutoCAD Technician, Draftsperson, or similar technical/design role
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
* Clear written and verbal English communication skills
* Reliable computer setup and high-speed internet for remote work
**Nice to Have**
* Experience with construction, engineering, fire protection, or building systems projects
* Familiarity with Canadian codes, technical standards, or permit drawings
