GFL Sault Ste. Marie is looking for AZ Vacuum Truck and Septic Drivers!

The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to): hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material.

The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork. ( Please note you must be long hauling between T-Bay and the GTA )

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary focus will be to assist plant operations on a shift schedule.

• Operate various types of trucks including Vacuum, Hydrovac, Box, Van trailer and Roll-off.

• Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required.

• Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.

• Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment.

• Safely load, transport and unload a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous goods.

• Complete all required transport documents including pre & post trip inspections.

• Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, MOE, MOL & MTO.

• Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.

• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate run/paperwork completion.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Valid AZ License

• Must be able to operate manual transmission.

• Must be able to travel across the Border. US Fast Pass needed

• Clean drivers abstract.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Experience hauling liquids

• Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Shift work with overtime as required.
