Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to program, set up, and operate Okuma CNC turning centers. You will produce high-precision components from blueprints while ensuring strict quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Okuma CNC turning centers and lathes.
- Edit and optimize OSP control programs at the machine.
- Select and install proper cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T symbols.
- Inspect your own parts using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic daily preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of CNC turning setup and operation experience.
- Control Expertise: Proven experience with Okuma OSP controls is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong blueprint reading and manual inspection skills.
- Math Skills: Solid understanding of shop math and trigonometry.
- Attributes: High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
