Role overview
A DevOps engineer is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure using various tools and methodologies.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for software development and deployment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and availability of software applications and infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce best practices and standards for software development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and support for software development and delivery.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve software development and delivery processes.
What you bring to the role
- At least 6 years of experience in software development, deployment, and operations.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, Ruby, or C#.
- Experience with various DevOps tools and technologies, such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, or AWS.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, such as version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
