Role overview

A DevOps engineer is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure using various tools and methodologies.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for software development and deployment.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and availability of software applications and infrastructure.
Implement and enforce best practices and standards for software development, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and support for software development and delivery.
Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve software development and delivery processes.

What you bring to the role

At least 6 years of experience in software development, deployment, and operations.
Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, Ruby, or C#.
Experience with various DevOps tools and technologies, such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, or AWS.
Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, such as version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
