AI Engineer (Portless) Location: Remote, North America (~6h overlap ET) Engagement: Full-time, remote Salary: $180,000 – $230,000 (EUR 155,615 – EUR 198,842) Industry: E-commerce / logistics / AI
Portless is transforming e-commerce logistics with AI. We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, build and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimise supply-chain operations at scale.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases
- Work with LLMs, computer vision and predictive analytics
- Collaborate with product and engineering to ship AI-powered features
- Own the full ML lifecycle: data, training, evaluation, deployment
- Monitor and improve model performance in production
What we're looking for
Essential
- 4+ years of AI/ML engineering experience
- Strong Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience deploying models to production
- Must be authorised to work in the US (no sponsorship)
- Canada/Mexico candidates only if they already hold US work authorisation
Nice to have
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce or supply chain
- LLM fine-tuning and RAG experience
