CNC Machinist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled

CNC Operator to join a growing organization operating across Canada and the U.S. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The CNC Operator will be responsible for production, machine setup, and part verification while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform production tasks based on engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Ensure all parts meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines with minimal supervision.
  • Plan tooling requirements and maintain production levels according to schedules.
  • Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and in proper working condition.
  • Identify and report any defects, deviations, or equipment issues to management.

Quality & Safety

  • Follow and apply company Quality Management System and customer requirements.
  • Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and corrective actions.
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety policies and ensure safe work practices.
  • Properly use protective equipment and report any hazards or incidents.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Support a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience operating and setting up CNC machines.
  • Experience with multi-axis machines (5-axis or 9-axis preferred).
  • Journeyman Machinist certification (Red Seal preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and parameter adjustments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T, metric and imperial measurements.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Solid math and geometry skills related to machining.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
