This position reports to

Manufacturing Unit Business Controller

Your role and responsibilities

Accounts Payable • Processing supplier invoices, electronically linking receipt transactions with the packing slips, and invoice. • Reconciling supplier's monthly statements. • Processing customs invoices. • Reviewing accrual reports. Accounts Receivable • Processing packing slips for invoicing. • Reviewing payments received, and processed in CFIN. • Investigating deductions on payments received, and processing required credit notes. • Reviewing month-end subledgers. • Participating in collection activities. Sub-Contractor Processing • Participating in processing subcontractor invoices for payment. • Reviewing month-end accrual reports. General Accounting • Performing journal entries. • Participating in month-end closing procedures. • Performing account reconciliations. • Reviewing financial reports. • Introduction to internal controls.

Qualifications for the role

• Currently enrolled in a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) or Diploma of College Studies (DEC) program with a focus on accounting, demonstrating a strong commitment to developing expertise in financial management and accounting principles.
• Proficient in both English and French, enabling effective communication and collaboration in a bilingual work environment. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive and productive work atmosphere, and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
